How the TenJet Procedure WorksÂ
1. The Damaged Tissue Is LocatedÂ
Using ultrasound imaging, the physician identifies the exact area of damaged tendon or soft tissue that is causing pain and confirms the treatment target.
2. The Treatment Area Is Numbed
A local anesthetic is injected into the treatment area to help keep the patient comfortable during the procedure.
3. A Tiny Incision Is Created
A small incision is made in the skin to allow access to the damaged tissue.
4. The TenJet Device Is Guided into Position
Using real-time ultrasound guidance, the TenJet handpiece is carefully inserted to the area of diseased tissue.
5. Damaged Tissue Is Removed
Once positioned, the TenJet device is activated. A high-pressure saline stream breaks apart and removes the damaged tissue while the device simultaneously evacuates the tissue from the treatment site.
6. The Area Is Reassessed
Ultrasound imaging is used throughout the procedure to monitor progress and confirm that the targeted damaged tissue has been adequately treated.
7. The Procedure Is Completed
The TenJet device is removed, and the small incision is covered with a dressing or bandage, without needing stitches.Â
