Porokeratoma Treatment Process
TREATMENT PROCESS
This is my current treatment process for Porokeratomas (clogged sweat glands) patients. Please watch the video for complete details.
- 1st Visit - Evaluate your condition, trim off the painful callus, and apply salicylic acid to the area.
- Pumice and Cream - Using a pumice and callus cream can help reduce recurrence.
- Orthotics - Orthotics help offload the painful callused area to prevent recurrence.
- Shoe Modifications - Sometimes wider shoes can be helpful, or a shoe-liner cut-out can take pressure off a painful area with a deep porokeratoma.
-
Excision - I sometimes recommend removing the painful porokeratoma with a 2-3mm punch excision technique.
