Piñata for Piper
I am going to change it up today and share a funny story from my colleague Dr. Matthew Monette.
I was recently at Saint Vincent Hospital with Dr. Monette, and we were doing surgery together.
He is a 3rd year resident and finishing up a three-year surgical residency at the hospital.
Dr. Monette is also from the Midwest like me, but I am from Minnesota, and he is from Wisconsin.
Here are some Wisconsin jokes just for the fun of it!
- How do you know a man is from Wisconsin? He owes more money on his snowmobile than his car.
- How do you know it’s winter in Wisconsin? You’ve gotten sunburn and frostbite in the same week.
Dr. Monette was helping me with surgery and talking about his dog’s birthday.
Piper’s birthday party
Dr. Monette recently got engaged, and I asked him if they were thinking about kids. I didn’t get an answer, but he told me about Piper, his dog.
Piper just had a birthday.
They got him a doggy piñata.
I have never heard of those before but I thought it was a good idea.
The picture I have looks like a video, but it is not. (Don’t try to click the play button; it will only frustrate you.)
This is called a “Woof Party,” and for the dog to get the treats, he has to pull down on the rope.
I thought that was a great idea for a dog party.
