URGENT FOOT/ANKLE CARE

Gout Treatment Process

TREATMENT PROCESS

This is my current treatment process for patients with gout, please watch the video for full details.

  • 1st Visit - Evaluate your condition and determine if you have gout, infection, or something else. Usually, get an x-ray, order a blood test, and possibly give a prescription for pain medication.
  • 2nd Visit - Will evaluate the initial treatments and if indicated perform an ultrasound examination and possibly a cortisone injection.
  • Cortisone Injection - At times this is indicated to reduce pain in your joint.
