Welcome Dr. Monette to the office!
Just For Fun
I had to take a picture of this. It is my daughters carry on for our recent trip to Germany.
For her birthday she got a set of colored markers and was so proud that she prepared her own carry on back for the flight.
On closer examination there was nothing in the bag except a larger box of 105 colored markers.
Those came out to allow for other items that were more essential in our opinion as parents but not to her!

Welcome to Dr. Matt Monette
We are very excited to welcome Dr. Monette to our practice. He has been having many big events recently.
You see here a certificate he received at his graduation celebration from residency.
Both Ben and I went to the celebration party where he was present along with his whole family. Many of them flew in from Wisconsin.
He had another big event in that weekend I will share with you next week.
Can you guess what it was?

Question Of The Week
Are kids flat feet the same as adults?
They both have flat feet but the main difference is that children with flat feet don’t have the advanced symptoms that adults have.
For example it takes years to develop arthritis and tendon tests and dysfunction that is common with adults.
Will my child grow out of flat feet?
If they have very flat feet you should seek professional evaluation either by a podiatrist or pediatric orthopedist.
For adults flat feet tend to be progressive. The pain gets worse over the years or with increased activity. Commonly we see patients who are pain free with flat feet that might have an event that spurs on the pain and discomfort.
For example wearing a dress shoe for an extended time at a wedding or special event or wearing flip flops for a longer period of time while on vacation.
For kids we see it when they start a sport in school and do more activity or if they have to wear a less supportive cleat or race shoe for running.
If you can’t fix your flat feet come see us for help!
